Archway Programs is Hiring a Training Coordinator Near Atco, NJ

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, update and monitor standardized training procedures in compliance with DDD, DCF, DOE, DMHAS and other applicable state/local/federal regulations and standards and established Archway Programs policies and procedures
  • Responsible for conducting certifying courses in CPR, First Aid and other applicable skilled areas; maintain trainer certifications in CPR/First Aid, CPI/PRT and any other certifications as assigned
  • Establish training department objectives, strategies, policies and processes for Archway’s training programs
  • Ensure programs and courses offered through the Training Department focus on the development of skills, professional growth, knowledge and attitudes necessary for quality job performance and meet all regulatory requirements of outside agencies and the standards of Archway Programs
  • Maintain and seek out new knowledge and skills in the area of employee training and development through research, membership in training and development organizations and groups, and attend conferences, seminars, classes and other related resources.
  • Develop a monthly organization wide training calendar and conduct trainings as assigned and scheduled
  • Coordinate and implement customized orientation programs including actual training of courses, equipment and material setup; also responsible for room arrangements and setups and monitor participant learning and testing
  • Serve as Administrator of all online training platforms used by Archway Programs
  • Design, develop and update training materials including manuals, desktop procedures, bulletins, computer based training modules and participant evaluation forms and testing
  • Recommend the selection of external resources as required
  • Develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities along with recommendations for improvements
  • Maintain records of employee training activities
  • Ensure staff in all departments are in compliance with training requirements by evaluating staff training needs.
  • Conduct site specific trainings for any programs within Archway programs as needed.
  • Research and stay informed in any and all training best practices.
  • Cooperate fully with Archway Programs staff, Department of Human Services, Department of Children and Families, Division of Developmental Disabilities, Department of Education, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services and all other applicable parties in any and all inspections, investigations and/or audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Required

3 Years Experience

Other knowledge, skills and certifications required:

  • Knowledge of DDD, DOE and DCF Policy and Procedures
  • Knowledge of State Licensing Regulations
  • Skilled at Crisis Intervention and handling emergency situations
  • Maintain CPR/First Aide Instructor certification
  • Must have excellent critical thinking ad independent decision making skills; excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, ability to work independently, plan, organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines; strong customer service orientation, leadership skills and collaboration and team building skills; must be detail oriented.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
